Purslane (Beldroegas in portuguese) are really common in everywhere (even on the sidewalks).
Since i ate a purslane soup i wanted to find out more about then. See the article about Pusrlane in wikipedia |

a couple of years ago, i entered in it but meanwhile, it appears that that big menhir has colapsed and closed the area. i remember it was full of wasps...

I love this sight. i also miss the times we when camping or stood overnight in other parts of Alentejo. On this sites, one can just open the gates, go through, get on the other side, open another wooden gate... and like this one can really see the beauty of this forgotten land. Camping on the wild, near a small damn, or a river, or even just near a menhir is one og the most simplest and fulfilling thing to do...

It has a a metal struture hovering it to ?protect? it. Some other recent structures were built inside to stop the fall of some stones. |
